Journal Entry #31: 1/31/2010
Well, today was Sunday. I missed out on church and went to work. It already feels like my birthday is tomorrow, and yet it doesn't feel like I'll really be having one at all this year. It'll probably just feel like another day.
Still feeling nostalgic. :)

Journal Entry #30: 1/30/10
Well: Saturday
A day in which I go to work early, work consumes most of my day, I usually go to church (which today I didn't, went to Zaxby's instead), and then I try to find something interesting to do.
Today's topic of interest: Tamagotchi!
Remember those days, back in the late 90's where everyone was all excited about these virtual pet things from Japan that make all kinds of annoying sound effects and end up dead within a few days? Well yeah, I had some fond memories tied up in these things.
I did my research to figure out what exactly I used to have, and I recall having either a p1 or p2 Tamagotchi (not sure which because I don't remember how old I was when I got it). The most popular variant of the virtual pets I owned was a Nano Puppy in green. It was pretty easy to take care of the dog, but it did like to run away after a while. Finally, the v1 Digimon (and later Digivice v1, but that's not really a virtual pet). All this recent nostalgia has me feeling very nostalgic for the 90's, although the 80's seems like it was a much cooler time for toys and the rise of the gadget age.
Looking through these videos about Tamagothci kinda made me want to buy an old one, but apparently they've become a sort of niche collectible and are worth much more than the $10 they used to be.

Hmmm...I never really have much to say about Fridays.
I woke up tired, went to class, went home, and then went to work. After work I played some more Pokemon Yellow, and then I went to bed.
Oh, and I suppose I should mention that the weather did turn kinda bad today with ice, sleet, rain, and snow, but overall, it didn't stop me from going to work or school.
I'm thinking that I might want to pick up a NES here pretty soon. It's been on my wish list for ages...

Well, well, well. Today was Thursday which also means it's supposed to be my fun day. It was alright, had some hot wings y'know. Had to pick up my little sister because she missed the bus when I was hanging out and eating hot wings. That sort of thing. Oh and crap, forgot about the English journal. Had to read "The Yellow Wallpaper." Interesting story that's supposed to say something about feminism...yeah I can kinda see that, but more of a this woman is creepily crazy kind of a thing.
Anyway, not much else going on today. The weather's supposed to turn bad tonight, but we'll see. It's been pretty warm recently.

Journal Entry #27: 1/27/10
So today the big news was Apple's announcement of the iPad. A very terrible name in my opinion, but I guess it's just something that I'll have to get used to. I also noticed how crazy it is that my birthday is coming up next Friday. Where did being 19 years old go? Oh yeah, it was all last year which actually didn't seem that short a span in time. I'm sure, though, that I'll forget all about it because who remembers being 19? Everyone remembers being 15, 16, 18, and 21. Not 19.
Anyway, tomorrow seems like it'll be fun. I'll put off on doing my English journal until then. Not feeling like writing a whole lot right now.

Well, today was Tuesday. I got up early and went to lab. It was pretty easy; we only met for about 15 minutes. I think I can get used to that. After that, I waited for ESS lecture. I still say it's an interesting class. The professor says next time we get into the more Physics end of the science. Then I had recitation at the end of the day. Other than that, not much to report here.
When I got home, I watched 500 Days of Summer with my parents. They thought it was an okay movie, but overall corney. I still say it's a good movie and I love the soundtrack.

Well, I woke up tired. Thus, I went to school tired, but I don't think it affected my learning much. I'm always tired when I go to school regardless of weather I get sleep or not. That's probably a sign of depression, but it's a new year. That's the point of this blog anyway: to prove that I'm not depressed and that I can actually do something I set my mind to. Or at least I think it is...I also kinda wanted it to show that there actually is something extraordinary that happens during those days we believe that nothing ever happened, so we forget that day entirely. There's bound to be good in everyday worth remembering right? Well, I don't think I've proved that yet.
School was okay, but during the breaks between classes when I was by myself, I was kinda bored. I suppose that's kinda my own fault for not doing something more interesting than sitting around doing nothing. After all, doing nothing accomplishes nothing. I suppose that's kind of obvious though.
Tomorrow's bound to be a similar day with classes at similar times, but we'll see.

Journal Entry #24: 1/24/10
Well today was Sunday, but because of the storm I didn't actually get good sleep. I fell asleep early yesterday, so I think that's the real reason I woke up at 3:34 AM. Of course, it may also have had something to do with the fact that I had to pee.
Anyway, my Dad was up because of the dog acting crazy. He was watching the news station guy talking about the storm occurring outside. The wind had trees rubbing up against the roof of the house. I suppose that could also factor in with why I couldn't go back to sleep, but I did eventually get to sleep around 7 AM.
After waking up again around 11 AM, I had some lunch and had to get ready for work. And now I was low on time, so I decided not to get a haircut or to shave once again. Maybe I should start using Daily Booth so I can watch my hair grow from day to day, even though real people don't use Daily Booth that way.
A lot was accomplished at work today, but nothing that would be interesting enough to write about. Tonight, I couldn't sleep because I was too busy thinking about...stuff that I'm not ready to admit yet...

Journal Entry #23: 1/23/10
Today was a weird day. I still feel kinda weird about Toby's passing, but I suppose it's something I'll accept with time. I had a dream that when I got up in the morning, he opened up the box he was in and came out to get a bite to eat. I suppose that's my subconscious saying that I haven't accepted it yet. He was buried while I was at work.
Going to church after work is starting to seem kinda pointless. Not that I don't believe in God anymore or anything, I'm just so tired after work that I spend more focus on staying awake, rather than actually listening. I still caught most of the drift...the "one body" of Christ can't really exist until there is unity between all Christian belief sets, and that there can't be *one correct church until that happens...oh and "Don't sleep. Don't sleep. Why is it so hard to stay conscious?"
After that, sleep.

Well, today there's not much to talk about...Toby died and that's about it. I wanted to write something meaningful about it, but I don't have anything. It's been something that I've accepted that would happen for a while now. It's sad, but there are still some good memories...
Okay, so I also went to work and school today, but nothing much happens there.

Journal Entry #21: 1/21/10
Well the things that had me depressed yesterday didn't go away. I suppose that's just something I need to distract my self from. I went to one class today, played some Pokemon with Adam (finally), and went to a Thrift Store to look at some second hand stuff. Didn't really see anything interesting, so I'll mark that shop off my list of places to look for cool stuff. Next week I'll continue the search.
I was going to do a video blog for today's entry, but I didn't have any interesting footage. On the news, I saw a tornado drop down live from a weather camera in the area of Huntsville near my school on TV (yeah, total run-on, I know). That was interesting. The good news is it didn't pick up very much energy, so it was short lived. If only I had some kind of pocket-able camera, then I'm sure I'd have some interesting footage.
Anyway, that's about it for today. I only have one class to go to tomorrow, and then I'll go to work.
I need to come up with some kind of signing off, signature-like thing for these...Oh well...

So today was a good day I suppose. Not much happened, and I was a little depressed, but overall a good day. I've been putting off writing anything about it because...well...I just don't really have anything to write about. I got to school at 10:20, left school at 7 in the evening, and then I went home and went to bed. When I'm at school, I don't really do much. Mostly just a lot of sitting around waiting for the next class. I'm happy that I only have one class to go to tomorrow. :)

Journal Entry # 19: 1/19/10
Wow, I've almost made it to # 20. Just to clarify myself though, I have not per se` made an entry every day. My resolution was to simply make one for every day. I still consider it to be accurate though. I just forget a lot of stuff that happens. I just want to have some stuff documented that I would forget otherwise.
Anyway, now's time to write about one of those personal moments that I would not otherwise write about because it has been forgotten. I don't think people really read these things anyway. Today (actually the 20th) I realized how much I miss some people. Yeah, you know, one of those days that you're depressed about certain things.
Anyway, back to the present, which is actually the past. Today was an uneventful day. Just a regular day at school. I met my recitation teacher for math and hopefully tomorrow I can get caught up with the regular teacher. Well that and my Political Science teacher. I hope I like that class. Anyway, that's really all there is to say for today. I kept myself from playing Pokemon so I don't feel like I'm procrastinating that much on actual school work. I don't really have anything to work on right now anyway. The future still looks bleak, but I'm sure it'll clear up soon.

Journal Entry #18: 1/18/10
Well today was a holiday, so I met with Kevin and Vance for a bike ride. After that, we were supposed to meet with some others at Subway, but those plans fell through. Instead we went to Sakoa Japanese Food and got the usual Chicken Don with steamed rice and a soda. After that, we were all out of time, everyone had to get back to school today. After I got home, there was crash close to my house. So I called up Kevin to see if all was okay. Turns out it was near the corner of Palmer and County Line RD in the Ashbury neighborhood that is still under development. The only casualties that have been confirmed so far are the pilot, and the co-pilot. It is still unknown who the were. After that, I played some 8 or 9 hours of Pokemon Yellow. I think I'm doing pretty good so far. I have a NidoQueen, a Butterfree, and a Pikachu all around level 30 and I'm at Celadon City. Tomorrow, we meet the new teachers.

Ah yes, it was a good day indeed. I got some nice sleep over night. It's not that I went to bed early, but sleeping in today was so nice. After waking up and going to work, I met with friends to go bowling. I've never bowled so well in my life (I got a score of 126 or something close to that). After that, we all went to Kevin's house and played some Beatles Rock Band and New Super Mario Wii. Then we played some Wise and Otherwise. And then I don't really remember what we did, but I do remember playing 4 hours of Pokemon. And then it was 4 in the morning and I headed home. Tomorrow we plan on going on a bike ride.

Well today was Saturday. I went to work in the morning, and went to church after I got off from work. Then I went with some friends to see Avatar again. That was basically it for today, after the movie was over I was exhausted, so I need to get some sleep. Luckily my car was in proper working order. I wonder what's in store for tomorrow. I hope to have some more fun with my friends to pick me up after the end of last week. I guess I just need to change my perspective on life.

Well, I basically knew what I was going into when I started the day off. It's a good thing I have some motivation this semester.
Well, everything had to be adjusted today. I can't say that I'm happy about it, but I'm sure I can get through it. My car also got fixed! And that's about it. I don't really want to talk about today much even though there were some good bits to it. I'm just glad it's a three day weekend.

Well today wasn't a very good day. I'll give you the rundown of course.
It seems that the mistakes I made last year are here to haunt me again this year. In other words, I won't be able to stay in my Cal A class. Also, my car being broken is not much help. I had to walk everywhere today, and let me just say, it isn't exactly fun. My car was not fixed by today, so I guess I'll have to go through the same stuff again tomorrow. The science advisor wasn't in her office when I went to see her so I'll have to get up early tomorrow and see if I can catch her.

Alright, that's it of the bad stuff. Now for all the good stuff.
I got to sleep in today and I did some homework a day before it was due. I guess that's what normal people do anyway. And...that's about it. Hopefully everything works out tomorrow...

Journal Entry #13: 1/13/10
Well today was a long day indeed. Let's start from the top.
I woke up today a bit earlier than was necessary. I wanted to throw together a collection of all (well most) of my classic GameBoy, Gameboy Color, and GameBoy Advance games to have some fun with a friend of mine that has the same gap between the same classes I have on Wednesdays. On my way to school, I noticed my "Engine Service Needed" light came on.
My friend came ill prepared for the classic portable gaming, but it all worked out. We did some portable gaming for about an hour after Math, then headed out to CiCi's pizza because I was ill prepared for lunch and dinner (and since I wouldn't be going home until 1:30 AM, I wanted something that would hold me over). After we were done, we checked out the Arcade and played some games but not all the machines where working right. We also stopped at the toy dispensers and picked up some good old fashioned 25 cent and 50 cent toys. Then with our new toys, we headed back to school and sat around for a couple more hours doing nothing. Finally we decided it was time to get to the building our next class is held in. Here's where the day turned from okay, to not so good. Turns out that my car wouldn't start. The key just fit kind of loosely in the ignition switch, so my battery was on, but I couldn't get the car to start or turn off. Luckily it was the time of day that my Dad was close from getting off of work and he works right across the street from the school building I was at (it's a technology area, and quite the school of science so what do you expect?). My Dad was able to come over and take a look at the car. He couldn't do anything to fix it then, but after he talked with someone he works with, it may be an easy fix that can be done tomorrow. I had to bum a ride off my friend to our next class.
While I was in class, my Dad drove home, made dinner, fed our pets, and had time to come back with some tools so we could disconnect the battery. After all this, my Dad gave me a ride to work, and after being at work for about an hour or so, he dropped his car off for me to drive home.
Lucky for me I got off of work early also, and got home in time to catch up on my blogs. Tomorrow I only have one class, so I'll get all my homework done then and hopefully have some fun too.
Sleep well my car. Hope you are well and still there tomorrow.

Journal Entry 12: 1/12/10
Well, I survived day two. I went to school for my lab at 9:35, but it turns out that it was canceled (supposedly this info was sent in an email). So I waited around for a bit, went to my math class again, and then went to ESS 111, the lecture. I guess that class will be interesting. It's about "Climate and Global Change." Now I'm skeptical about the whole green house gases being the number one cause of global warming still, but I guess I may have a different opinion at the end of the class. We'll see.
So hopefully I will survive this year, I'm still a procrastinator. I guess I have no proof that I'm procrastinating as bad as I was last year, but we'll see.
After class I went out to eat with a friend. We went to the mall and ate a Chick-Fil-A which is funny because we passed a Chick-Fil-A on the way towards the mall and could have saved time by just stopping there, but we still hadn't decided on a place at the time I guess. While we were there we stopped in at Game Stop and I had to buy Metroid Zero Mission. I wanted to play it, but I had English to read and stuff after I got home so I only played for about 10 minutes.
Tomorrow's inventory day where I work. I'm sort of dreading that, but that's only because I'm at school from 10:20-6:50 and then I'm going into work directly after that at 7:30-1:30. It'll all work out though and that's really not a long shift or anything so...We'll see how tomorrow goes. :)

Journal Entry #11: 1/11/10
That's another one of those dates that look weird...
So I got through my first day back at school and I must say that I don't really have an answer for, "how's school this semester?" I can't really answer that until after tomorrow and then maybe even a bit more time after that. However, I will say that I made it through the day and hope that all goes well tomorrow.
That's all I have for today. I'm kinda glad to be back at school and yet kinda not. Tune in tomorrow when I'll be writing in this blog instead of doing homework.

Journal Entry #10: 1/10/10
Well, that's an interesting date now wouldn't you say? An I'm actually writing this blog entry on the correct day. That's because tomorrow is the big reveal, the real start of the new year for me. I guess that means that today is the last day of the old year, the old year that will affect me for better of for worse this year. If I can make it through the next few weeks, and everything turns out in my favor, I can make it to the beginning of the rest of my life. I mean, sure I knew I could get to college, and I had dreams for afterward, but I never though about how I would get through college. I mean, it's just school right? I got through high school and middle school and elementary school. This is just another obstacle in the way right? Well it is in a way, but maybe not exactly just an obstacle. Who's to say that I can't just settle for a lower-income job with my high school diploma? Well, I am I guess...but still, that's kinda weird for me to say seeing as I can't even motivate myself to do simple menial tasks.
Anyway, today was a nice short day of work and then going to Wal*Mart to get pens and stuff and then going home and relaxing. Tomorrow is always harder than yesterday, but that's only because we know what was and not what will be.

Journal Entry #9: 1/9/2010
Today seemed like a typical Saturday. I went into work, went to church, went home. I was going to hang out with Patrick, but those plans fell through, and yet later I went to hang out with Kevin and Vance. I felt kinda bad looking back for not hanging out with everyone, but I suppose I'll be seeing quite a bit more of Patrick since we go to the same school.
Anyway, most of the snow was gone by the end of today, but there were some fun ice patches to slide on. Vance was doing some moves that reminded me of a website that teaches the C Walk. I wonder if I have the kind of coordination to learn something like that. I dunno, it might be dangerous because it is based off of the C Walk (you know, from the Crips Gang), but this one stands for Clown Walk... Anyway, today I'm listening to Phoenix - "1901," you've probably heard the song in a car commercial.

Today the snow was still sticking to the ground, but it was a bit more dangerous than yesterday. I slept for most of the day before heading into work. I've been listening to a bit of MGMT and I think that's what I want to spend most of my $15 iTunes giftcard on, but I want some song suggestions still. I didn't get one from Twitter, Facebook, or MySpace (as far as I know, I don't really check MySpace anymore). That's really all there was to today, not much else to talk about.

Journal Entry #7: 1/7/2010
Okay, so today it actually did snow here in Alabama (weird). It cause schools to close early and stuff like that, but I was too busy to really notice the snow because I had work today. Oh, but wait, the snow did affect my day because I got off from work early.
I was kinda glad to be perfectly honest. For some reason, I just wanted to go home, and while I only got off an hour and a half early, it seemed to make the day all the more short. And I got to see the snow before the sun set so of course I took really daring photos to post in my blog as my car was sliding across sheets of ice on the roads...okay, so there wasn't really any ice, but I'm sure there will be tomorrow.

Sorry for such a crappy camera phone picture, it's really the best digital camera I own...
Anyway, after I got home, I realized there wasn't anything to do, so I went to bed early...Which reminds me, I should have some new anime to watch by now...

Journal Entry #5: 1/5/2010
Well today was a busy day. Mostly at work of course. To keep it short and simple, we finished getting everything out (mostly) and will from now on be focusing on preparing for inventory. I can't wait until it's all over, but I guess I can.
After work, I got my school paid for this coming semester. Tomorrow I'm going to get books hopefully. I just hope everything works out this coming semester.
Anyway, after that I hung out with Justing for a bit and that was basically it. Yeah I know exciting once again right? Well, it kinda was, but I don't think I'll really write about it because it really wasn't.
Now that I'm all caught up on my journal entries, I think I'll get some sleep. Also, I think I'll keep up with these a bit more so I have more to write about. Maybe I'll start taking pictures and such (that'll be the day).
Fun Fact of the Day: You can't copy and then paste stuff into blogger. You have to re-type everything you just got finished typing.

Journal Entry # 3: 1/3/2010
Okay, so today is just going to be a quick post that I don't want to put online anyway. Why don't I want it online? Well, it's quite simple. It's already the 6th and I'm making and entry for two days ago. I say two days because it's just barely the 6th.
Today was pretty similar to yesterday, except it was at my house. First Kevin, Matt, and I played some PWI. We also built some K'Nex. After Matt went home, me and Kevin went to the other Wal*Mart in town to look for the K'Nex roller coaster.
Well, that was about it. Since I didn't really do much, that's it for this one. Disappointing I know right? Well, I don't think so, it was fun and I don't really want to fancy all these posts up. After all, they're just a way of recording what happened during the "day of the post." (quotes used because this was obviously really late.

Journal Entry #2: 1/2/2010
Okay, well today was an awesome day. First I woke up and went to work at 9, left work at 5, and then went to church at 5:30. This is all pretty standard stuff for a typical Saturday. When I got home, I had some hot dogs and french fries. Then I headed out to Kevin's house. First we played some 007 Nightfire. We also got some of those sponges in capsules that grow when you drop them in water and put them in cups outside. Then we went to Wal*Mart and got some Lunchables and Flaming Hot Cheetos. Then we went back to Kevin's house and play 3 part harmonies on Beetles Rock Band. Then we built some K'Nex and went to Wal*Mart again to look for the Roller Coaster K'Nex kit. They didn't have it so when we got back we looked at the capsule animals and they were frozen in the water. They had been out in the cold just long enough to form ice crystals on the glass. I really should have taken pictures with my phone...I guess I just need to get better at taking pictures for my blog posts.
Like my 2nd Grader summery of the day? Yeah, so do I. Today was a very nostalgic day. Even at work I was having childhood memories and remembering experiences from my childhood. I like days like these, but it's kinda sad to think back and realize that that part of your life is gone. I suppose that's why Christmas is a favored time of year. It's a time when we all remember what it was like to be a child in all the innocence and excitement in the belief of true magic. As you grow older, it's more of a time of family and togetherness, something we take for granted most other times of the year.

Journal Entry #1: 1/1/2010
So today was the first day of the new year. I find it kinda funny how people think that just because a new year's started, it gives them a fresh start. I mean really, it could be just another day. It's not like you're changing jobs, cities, or entering a new phase of your life. In the end, it's kinda just another day that gives people a reason to get drunk and, in some cases, think about making changes in their lives. I guess I'm one to talk, wanting to document every day of this new year, wanting to make some changes in my life for the better, wanting to have set goals to inevitably achieve.
Today was a really long day. I didn't really sleep much after getting to bed at 4 AM and going in to work from 4 PM-9 PM (boy was it a mess). Afterwards I played some PWI (Perfect World International) with Kevin at my house. I thought about writing this all day, and possibly doing videos on Fridays, but with Friday gone, I suppose I'm too late. Maybe I'll do a video entry on Saturdays. I mean, doing it on Fridays would have been perfect, because the last day of the year is on a Friday. I haven't done the math of how many videos that would be, but I'm pretty sure it a sufficient amount.
Anyway, enough talk. Time to get some sleep so I can wake up in the morning.
